Awesome. [And back he goes to examine the pools.] If there are grates that's letting the water in, we just need to make the passages smaller. Or. How high do you think crabs can climb?

I don't know? I mean...if we take The Little Mermaid as gospel, pretty high.

Okay, well, we are not in a Disney movie so let's think about real crabs? We could build walls that they couldn't climb or jump over but the water can still pass over the top of them. That might be a good solution, too.

I mean, maybe first we should see what the issue is before we decide which solution is best?

[ dave eyes the water, hesitating. ]

Are you sure? I have noticed you lookin' a little green around the edges. And you do get up to a lot of monkey business.

[He elbows him in the ribs.] Shut up, no more Oz references. [Good thing this is before their conversation about his sister being squashed by a fucking house.] And I'm sure. If I can get a look at the bottom of the pool and avoid the crabs we should get a better idea of where they came in from, especially if there's a crack or something we aren't seeing. Unless you have a better idea?

[ AFTER HE ALREADY DREW IT ]

[Sweet. While Dave's doing that he's already kicking off his shoes, socks, and pulling off his shirt before grabbing for the goggles to slip over his glasses and taking the hammer.]

In case the crabs attack? [Duh. With that, he's going to be mindful of the water and slip in to dive down and examine the corners. BRB. The pools aren't that deep so Dave can see him but he's moving to check for any crevices or anything like that.]

[ ...JOHN, WHY. TO LIKE, A LOT OF THAT. dave gently puts his face in his hand for a second before going to stand at the edge of the pools and keep an eye on john from above, arms crossed. ]

[He's swimming around and getting a closer look before breaking the surface, frowning suddenly even with the goggles obscuring part of his vision. His hair's flat against his forehead and his shorts are soaked but. Sacrifices had to be made.]

So here's something. I cannot find any cracks or holes in the foundation.

...And we couldn't find any openings up top, either. What the fuck happened here, did someone just decide the bathhouse needed a crab infestation and make it a thing?

I don't know why but I am also not seeing how else they could have come in. That's a pretty far walk for them from the beach over to here. So I guess now there's no point in worrying about them coming back once we get rid of them.
