Good point. Makes sense. If they had that much control all of our complaints about Retrospec would be out of place. It would ruin any passive observational research and the entertainment of unpredictability too. Nice to think we can be about 99.99% sure we have our free will.
i guess the one percent can keep us on our toes until then. but if they really are passively watching us then we know what to expect, sort of. (aka not much.)
at this point i am not so much worried about that. but i think that is because i am used to it? or at least i remember it being a thing in my universe, too. space is weird, matt.
