Makes you wonder what's going to come next, doesn't it? They talked about their project and stuff but there's no proof the two are the same. On the other hand, it's the technology and power that concerns me. But then again they can implant memories to our brain. This is probably easy for them.

They have not exactly been the most upfront about the powers they possess and how they are actually doing these things, plus there's the whole part where nobody really asked for this. I get it, I'm glad we are saved or whatever from worlds being destroyed but you and me and the others already did that, apparently, and we were doing fine on our own. Why does it have to be these people?

It kind of just gives the feeling like we owe them now because they went and did us this great big favor.

[ which is... more than a little annoying, to say the least. they can get annoyed at retrospec, but now they can't get too annoyed because it's for their own good, or whatever, which feels manipulative. ]

What happens if they decide to cash in on that favor?

Yeah. Really nice favor, doing something we did not actually ask for. [...] You think they'd do that? What would that even mean? It's not like we can actually do anything for them. I do not know how to manipulate people's memories, do you?

As far as I know, that's outside of my skill set.

But there are a lot of people here who are getting really absurd fucking powers. Even if they might not want specifically us, maybe there are other Retrospec users they'd be interested in exploiting?

It could explain why more people come on the app every couple of months. Waking us up in batches so they can test and see what skills we may be getting back. Putting it that way it's still not fair because then we're stuck with all of this anyway whether we want it or not.

It actually pisses me off more that we are so accepting of this shit than the actual shit itself. Does that makes sense?

Yeah. It means they got into our heads and normalized so much of this that we can't even really be mad or anything about whatever happens next. Like okay, sure, if someone tried explaining this to me months ago it would be stupid. This was explained to me months ago, but now it's like "oh yeah that definitely makes sense." Kind of like troll-human marriages and stuff.
