Are you...wait really? You've never seen that movie? [Neither have I, personally, but whatever.] Okay, we should maybe fix that. I have not seen it recently in this lifetime but I guess it was on par with my favorite movie for a while back then.

When we get home, duh. Like maybe the day after we get home, I bet I can find a copy online or something.

Does that part really matter? [A grin. But okay, fine.] It'll be a legal copy, yes. Promise.

That is the part that matters more than literally every other part.

Okay. Cool. What's it about, anyways?

[windeity]

It's about a guy from the army who's convicted of manslaughter and he's in jail for ten years and he's sending letters to his daughter Casey. So the guy gets paroled after eight years and he boards this plane called the Jailbird which is basically a flying prison that's sending a bunch of other inmates to a higher security prison. But like when they're in the air, one of the prisoners starts a huge riot and hjiack the plane and stuff but some of the other people on the plane have to figure out how to stop the prisoners before they land and split up. That is pretty much all I can say without giving away the movie, but it's an action film with Nic Cage.

Wait, okay, one quick question.

They were transporting all of these people to a high security prison, but didn't bother to make the plane high security enough to stop them from hijacking the plane or prevent them from rioting?

It's called suspension of belief, Nat. Sometimes that happens in cinematic history.

Suspension of disbelief is just an excuse for lazy writing.

It's a movie from the 90s! Can you really expect anything better from them?

[robitussin]

Uh, yeah, there are movies from the 90s that are way better. The Sixth Sense came out in the 90s.

Okay, but if you're going to pick a 90s Bruce Willis movie why wouldn't you pick Armaggedon? I am not even sure how we can be friends after this.

Okay, whoa, time out. You did not just insult one of the greatest disaster films of all time.

There is no such thing as a good disaster movie.

Clearly because you have not watched any of the best ones! We are definitely fixing that right away when we get back. I refuse anything else.

Ugh, fine. I'll suffer through it somehow.

Good! [He can't, he's contact-drunk and tired. Instead, he settles for just leaning against her anyway.] We'll make Dave watch them, too. I think we could share some of our Saturdays at least.

I mean, if you guys already have plans those days, that's totally cool.

[is she just trying to get out of disaster movies? a mystery.]

We plan them as we go and if I say I want to watch shitty movies all day, he'll bitch but he'll do it with me. That's how our relationship works sometimes.

Yeah, but if Saturday is, like, your day, I don't want to intrude on that or anything.

We also have Tuesday nights. I don't think he'll mind so much if we both agree on sharing Saturday.

Are you just saying that because you're technically drunk, or will he really not mind?

The latter. Dave likes you enough that I sincerely doubt he would mind.
