I do have a thing to look forward to, you're right. [He makes a face though.] Though I was kind of hoping that making out with you in bed would prove it would not be the end of the world to do so.

I'm almost certain this year the world won't end on the 13th. [ he leans in to peck john on the lips, though. ] ...Anyway, good call. I'm maybe a little too beat to make out for more than like, five minutes tops anyway.

[He allows for the peck but he laughs all the same.]

It better not. I did not come here and find you again just for the world to disappear. We can go back to bed and repin the blanket over the window and nap for a while? You probably didn't sleep on the bus back, did you?

Nope. Couldn't. Knew I'd be comin' home to you.

Cheesy. [He's enthralled though and his arms loop around Dave's neck anyway.] You're back. And I'm back. We're home and that means we can finally relax a little.

Yeah, yeah, whatever. [He's busy moving them then, carefully gathering up the blankets and also Dave to flat-out princess carry him back to their bed. Apparently there's no issue here.] What time's your alarm set for though?

[ a pleased noise he'll avoid thinking about later. ] Two PM. may wake up before then but fuck it if not.

[windeity]

If you do, wake me up, too. [But he stops at the edge of their bed and shifts so Dave can face him.] Kiss me?

[ obviously he obliges. with somewhat sleepy enthusiasm, but. how long is john planning to stand there holding him exactly. ]

[Look, as a jock and also someone who has greatly missed Dave Strider he has an extra boost of energy to keep holding him for literally as long as he's allowed to kiss him. This could be a while but it's slow and deep and he's not trying to move it into frenching him but he's content this way anyway.]

[ hot but impractical, egbert. dave snorts with laughter and pulls away, eyeing john with half-lidded eyes. ]

[A quick peck before he moves to set Dave down so he's closest to the wall. Once Dave's situated in bed he'll follow easily enough before curling right into him.]

Sleep. I'll be here when your alarm goes off.

Mmhm. [ and because dave is a fucking hypocrite he leans in to kiss john again, but it's pretty clear he's like half asleep and just stupidly affectionate for it.
