[ around 9:37am dave answer his phone and has a brief conversation leading to, upon hanging up: ]

Hey, I need your car and a pair of your pants.

[...he's just. Squinting a little.]

The car makes sense but what the fuck do you need my pants for?

[parodeity]

You're nearer Minato's height. [ but he's going to grab one of his own shirts, so. ] Although if you want to systematically get rid of pants that's also fine.

[ no but he's worried so a joke will do ]

[windeity]

Well yes, but also why does Minato need my pants? [He's still trying to wake up a little and he runs a hand through his hair, giving Dave a wary look.] What's going on?

[parodeity]

[ dave circles back to john and kisses his temple, distracted. ] I'm his one call from jail I guess? Not sure what's up.

[windeity]

Uh. [That wakes him up a little (and the kiss helped, probably) but now he's just a little alarmed by this fact.] I hope he's okay. Do you need to borrow anything else? Here, hang on.

[He'll get up and go to his dresser, rooting around for a moment before coming up with a pair of darkwash skinny jeans to toss at Dave.] I don't care if these ones get wrecked.

He just said "change of clothes" but my shirts'll fit fine and anyway - [ ...okay he has no good argument about that so he just flaps his hand like that'll explain "anyway". the jeans go into his sylladex along with his shirt, and he goes to collect john's keys. ] I won't be all that long I don't think? Depends. He said he needed a ride, and I'll want to be sure he's...okay, but.

[windeity]

[A shrug.] It's fine. Take care of what you need and...call me if you need back up? I'm not sure what is going on but Minato in jail probably isn't good.

[parodeity]

[ okay. he'll do the pause-and-stare thing before he goes over to actually briefly peck john on the lips. ] You'll be my first call if I need anyone. Go back to bed, maybe? You don't have to be up 'till later, really.

[windeity]

[He immediately tilts his head up to meet him for that kiss.] No, I think I'm up for a while. My first class isn't until noon but it seems stupid to sleep for an hour and then get up anyway. I'll be okay.

[parodeity]

Okay. I'll call you after I've got him settled or if it's gonna take more than an hour I'll text? Love you. [ and then he just ruffles john's hair before he starts heading to the door and maybe this was short but thanks john for helping immediately. ]

[windeity]

[He's quick to grab Dave's hand to kiss it after he's done ruffling his hair but he grins before promptly flopping back into their pillows.]

Love you, good luck. [Adios, Dave.]

im gonna be later probably
his shoes were bloody and hes not talking much
so were going somewhere peopleless and im force feeding him mcdonalds
ill let you know when we split

i do not need to ask otherwise, that much is obvious.
