i cared a lot.
i just never said anything about it.
and i had control on a lot of aspects.
just not the things i really wanted because those were impossible.
but the perks of being popular were nice.

bringing my dad home, stuff like that.
it's dumb.
and the perks were getting a lot of free food and free passes to stuff and free booze.
it was kind to get this stuff and then be able to share it.

yeah it was. it's okay.
and no not really because it was kind of tiring and i did not care a lot about a lot of the things my friends did after a while.
the thing i liked most was being surrounded by people, but i like people here better.

this is getting weirdly deep, haha.
um. i mean i was always around people so i guess in a physical sense i was surrounded by people and that made things a little okay.
i didn't have to think about it much since i had a lot of people i was hanging out with whether they were guys from the soccer or baseball team or other jocks or vic and her friends or people i met in elementary or middle school.
it was nice to have a list of people i could go to and hang out with if someone else was busy.

[But yes, it was weirdly lonely and it's really only since coming here that he's figured out the difference.]
