Hello, John. I hope it isn't strange for me to send a message to you without notice.
Mr. Lupin mentioned that Vriska had turned into a statue. I was also one (at least, I believe so) until today. I was hoping I might be able to ask you a few things, since I would like to see what I can figure out about this strange phenomenon.
oh hey! somehow that does not surprise me. lupin is very helpful when it comes to sharing things. i did not realize other people were turning into statues too but that somehow makes this place even weirder. i can try to answer anything you want though.
I did not either. I don't know whether it's a relief that I was not the only one or if it is more concerning. I think either way, it's certainly stranger, yes.
- Did you notice anything strange before or after she became a statue? - Since I couldn't really investigate myself, what was the statue made of? - Is she completely like a statue (cool to the touch, hard, et cetera)? - When did she first turn into one? - Have there been any changes since?
I'm especially curious about the first one. If you had seen anything at all strange around where you first found her, that could be helpful.
nothing entirely strange, no. i mean the weirdest part was that it looked exactly like her, horns and everything. it was a statue made of marble i think? like those kind you see in history books all the time. it was really smooth and cold to touch. solid. definitely rock. the rock didn't bend under touch either. she became a statue several weeks ago, it's been about three weeks or more since minato told us what happened. nothing's changed in her condition since then, we've been checking on her occasionally.
she's been living with minato and whoever, so he would be the one to ask about if there was anything strange nearby. but the thing is that if vriska had a choice whether to fight or become a statue i am pretty sure she'd take the former. so this was something out of her control.
Thank you. I'm not sure whether it is stranger that it seems to be that thorough or if it would be moreso if it were not. At the very least, she won't remember it. I didn't realize what had happened until Lupin mentioned it as a possibility.
So it is definitely out of our control. Considering I don't even remember anything leading up to it other than taking a walk, I assume it happened very suddenly.
i cannot decide if it's better or worse that you guys don't remember. it feels a little unfair to take you out completely and then dump you back into stuff without warning. but then again i have never been a statue. maybe it's better not to remember being trapped. weird question but do you remember where you were walking to before it happened?
