Yeah, I know. [He's resigned himself to fate as a heater.] ...hey Dave. If we had a harvest festival a few weeks ago and now it's getting colder, do you think that means we can actually call this like November or December?

I think it's probably November, since last month seemed Halloween themed. Why?

No reason. I was just curious. [And also 1000% planning on some kind of thing for Dave's birthday next month in fake-December. Little does he know he'll have to plan a three-way birthday party.] It's just nice to kind of know what month it is and track how long we've been here.

[ john, thinking he's finally free of birthday apocalypse december: fUCK. ] Mmm. I mean, I can tell you exactly how many days if you ever want. But yeah.

[windeity]

[It's fine maybe.] I feel like that number would just depress me, so maybe not. I don't mind knowing the month though. It means we can also track how long winter's going to last.

[parodeity]

Probably way too long. [ he shifts. red eyes peer at john in the dark. ] Hey. Can I kiss you?

[ maybe he needs to stop asking but also no. ]

[He blinks sleepily but also he kind of likes being able to see Dave's eyes even if everything's blurry as shit.]

Yeah. [He's trying to sound casual, but kissing is still a big deal despite how things went at the festival.]

[ it's okay if john doesn't sound casual. it's still kind of a big deal to dave, which is why he keeps asking (that and he wants john to be comfortable) and when he shifts to sort of lean up and over john and dips down a little he's pretty gentle about it. it's a sleepy sort of affectionate kiss and it's maybe tentative like he sometimes is. ]

[Its nice at least. He turns into his side to reach dave and returns the kiss even if it's a little off-center and just as light. He's still not sure how to feel about the whole timetravel thing but he's more comfortable knowing dave will let him come along. He's also content that they're not moving and he breaks the kiss a little and bumps his face into Dave's.

Affection!! Sleepy, dazed affection but affection.]

[ there's a soft huff of laughter at the face bump before dave pushes away and rolls onto his back, dragging john into his side. ]

You're cute. [ "dumb" is included in cute. ]

Shut up, am not...[He's still easily going to burrow against Dave's side though. He knows his role here. Human heater right here.]

Nope. Adorable. [ daves voice is heavy with sleepy affection, and he hooks his chin on top of john's head, breathing evening a little. ]

Now you're just making fun of me. [He's fine with this position though and he yawns slightly.] ...thanks for at least telling me what you plan on doing.

[parodeity]

No secrets. I promised. [ john did, too. dave's voice is barely there. ] Go back to sleep for a while.

I know. [He definitely promised, too, but he's still happy to hear it.] Are you going back to sleep, too?

[parodeity]

Mhmm. You're warm. [ john is definitely being used as a heater slash hugging pillow. ]

[windeity]

I knew you were just using me for heating. [He wouldn't even care. He snuggles up closer instead.] Shouto kind of said Izuku does the same thing.

[Sort of. Shouto said a lot.]

Hm. Guess he'd be a pretty decent heater. I prefer you though.

[windeity]

I would hope so. Also Shouto's still half-cold and that sounds like your worst nightmare.

I'd like you even if you were cold.

As flattering as that is I don't want to be cold either. So if I get too cold, tell me.

I am pretty sure it's just because you were raised in the hellfire known as Texas, you big baby.

Fuck you, Texas was awesome. I mean, weather wise. [ not bro wise ]
