i can agree with that. a joint dream then. sorry the setting was a lot less exciting than where you were.
don't worry about it! it sort of sounds like it has been a long day? with...whatever is going on over there. (wrenches...?) classes are already sort of kicking my ass, too, and it hasn't even been a month yet.
so i heard. ritsu told me a little about that. let's hope that haunted mansion stays haunted somewhere else. if you are jealous that it was my dream, i am a little jealous of the ghosts you guys encountered so i think we're even.
that's both funny and unfortunate. some people are just not cut out for their majors. can't your professor pull him out?
hey, you never know. we have only just met, i can never be sure! but that's good to know. what are you even currently working on? for class, in general, whatever.
and see this is why i am not an engineering major. not only because just talking instead of doing sounds sort of boring, but i only understood part of that. at least lighting himself on fire would be entertaining.
shit, good point. but what's better, some amusement or no amusement at all? i think the answer is obvious.
and i did not say engineering itself is boring! just the sitting around learning about stuff instead of doing stuff part sounds boring. there's a difference.
i'll look forward to it. that would be the logical thing, yes. i mean i'm a biology student and i also think that is incredibly boring, too. would it really be that hard to figure it out without the traditional boring learning stuff?
Probably Depends on what kind of biology I guess But people have spent a couple hundred years wrist deep in dead things figuring most of it out right? You'd take a while to do that on your own.
right now i am just calling it "biology" until i decide it is a thing i want to stick with for sure. but science is pretty important, i guess? and there are always jobs in science. good point. i kind of meat engineering since that is probably not involving dead things, but yeah. people are weird, if you think about it. like who decided it was a good idea to start poking around decaying animals and stuff?
science is not as cool as magic though! but i guess it's ok.
if i were bored way back then i think i would still find something besides poking dead things, but the rest makes sense. i am even worse at history than i am at science so i don't have a real answer. this could get really philosophical but i think we will stick with "people like discovering things."
what fortune cookie did you read that off of? jeez, i don't know. usually i do not think about cutting people open when i want to understand stuff. but i guess i can see the appeal for other people.

...
Not sure why I was suddenly jealous of it being your dream.
It's been a long day.

After that I ended up in a haunted mansion.
It's my engineering 200 lab
One of the other students is a moron.
I'm pretty sure he's going to get himself killed

some people are just not cut out for their majors.
can't your professor pull him out?
no subject
He's one of those 'talks a really good game' types.
Professor loves him
Can't see how terrible he is at this.
no subject
and i am even more glad you guys are ok.
oh.
those.
in that case, the next best thing is to set him up to prove he does not know what he's doing.
does your professor like you at least?
no subject
I think so?
I know I can get a bit....ah...excitable.
But he doesn't seem to mind so far.
no subject
wait, we do not have to worry about you accidentally getting yourself killed or anything, do we?
no subject
No don't be ridiculous.
I'm very careful about my personal safety when I am building something.
no subject
we have only just met, i can never be sure!
but that's good to know.
what are you even currently working on? for class, in general, whatever.
no subject
Class at the moment is mostly little proof of concept things
Mostly involving thermodynamics
Hence the lighting himself on fire thing
no subject
not only because just talking instead of doing sounds sort of boring, but i only understood part of that.
at least lighting himself on fire would be entertaining.
no subject
He'd probably light other things on fire too though
What with the flailing and screaming and such.
Not an optimal solution, I guess.
And hey engineering isn't boring.
no subject
but what's better, some amusement or no amusement at all?
i think the answer is obvious.
and i did not say engineering itself is boring! just the sitting around learning about stuff instead of doing stuff part sounds boring. there's a difference.

Updates as the situation warrants.
I can see your point but
The boring learning stuff is important when you want to do the building parts
So they
You know
Work
no subject
that would be the logical thing, yes.
i mean i'm a biology student and i also think that is incredibly boring, too.

than 'SCIENCE'
Science is pretty fantastic.
IDK
Who decided to drink milk from cows
Or smoke tobacco
Or turn grain into bread
My guess is people way back when were really bored
And that was the ancient version of 'I wonder what this button does'
no subject
but i guess it's ok.
if i were bored way back then i think i would still find something besides poking dead things, but the rest makes sense.

'Magic' is just science we don't understand yet.
Why not?
'This made died in intense pain on his left side. Let's cut his body open and see what was going on there.'
no subject
jeez, i don't know. usually i do not think about cutting people open when i want to understand stuff.

no subject
what do you know about physics?
no subject
A decent amount I suppose.
Why?
