What, you're not carrying me? [ the silent questioning look was too much to take without a joke. but he takes john's hand and lets himself be hauled to his feet. ]

Nah. [But his grip on Dave's hand is firm as he starts to haul him upstairs toward his room.] Obviously I have to save something for later.

[ oh, they're holding hands. dave's shoulders loosen a bit and he doesn't try to pull away. he almost never does once john's grabbed hold of him. ] You better be savin' something more dramatic than that if you really want to make an impact.

What, princess-carrying you isn't dramatic enough? [He shakes his head.] That's like way over the top dramatic.

That depends on what genre dramatic we're goin' for. A princess carry says rom-com or like, tragic soldier buddy story.

The latter is pretty sad, but maybe not the former either.

If we can't pick a genre then I just think I deserve more drama to prove how much you adore me. All my fans should obviously be as over the top as possible at all times.
