[His lips curl up to a smile.] I like you, too. More than I think you think.

[ luckily john cant see that flustering dave like this. he's torn between nuzzling john's neck to let off a rush of affection or kissing him again and sort of just ends up doing both, deciding not to say something probably dumb. ]

[It's fine. He's just pulling Dave a little closer to continue cuddling and leeching affection while he can.]

Still ridiculous though.

Which is still a mystery to me as to why. [He settles for letting his eyes half-shut.] But likewise, obviously, or we would not be here. And you can ask for attention whenever.

You know I still believe that is true, dude. [Snuggling is permitted at least.] I'm always going to think you're a good person because I know better. That's all.

Tired? [ just gauging as he shifts off of john and curls an arm over his side instead. ]

A little, I guess. Do you care if I hold you hostage up here until we fall asleep? [ apparently just draped across john from the side. ]

No...I'm yours for the rest of today and the rest of whenever you want. You can do whatever you want with that.

Actually you're right I really shouldn't. The rest of today then and we'll see what comes next?

I mean the do whatever I want with it part but that's also wise.

Most of my time is yours anyway. I don't mind that though.

Okay, I obviously meant that sounded like open ended permission to mack on you, but that's kinda sweet.

Whatever. [He turns his head to kiss Dave's chin since that's what he can reach.] And it gets easier to think about being affectionate in front of people.

[ there's a pause. ] Like...seriously?

Like...I will probably never want to make out in front of people but like telling people and stuff. If it even matters. I don't know, I do not know if there's ever really a right time to announce to people you're dating someone. But the idea of saying so if it comes up is less daunting.

Dude, I don't want to make out in front of people either. That's a little much, y'know? I wouldn't mind like...holding hands.
