the...USUAL, WHY IS THIS USUAL: caught breath in his throat as he holds it for several heartbeats and tries (fails) to stamp his pulse down, a weird tensing and a quiet noise in the back of his throat. dave doesn't actually loosen his hold or pull away and he doesn't return the favor but, like, okay, that's happening he guesses.

I don't want them to look at you like I look at you. You have really cute smiles that they don't need to see without workin' for 'em.

I can't decide if that's really cute or really weird, Dave. [But given he's not pulling away it's probably mostly the former.] So what you are saying is I shouldn't smile for anybody else like I do for you.

No, I mean, not exactly? You should smile for people however you always do. But sometimes I just - [ how does he put this. ] ...Sometimes the photographs are just for me, yeah, because they show people how you see a thing. And that's...private, maybe. No one else needs to be lookin' at you through my eyes.

That is a very artistic way to look at it. [He knows Dave has a "no kissing in bed" rule but he lazily bumps his nose and mouth against Dave's cheek anyway while curling up further into his chest.]
