[ and he opens the door, pushing john in gently with a hand at the small of his back until dave can get the door shut. he watches for the cat immediately running over to trip them up, and takes both of john's hands to drag him over towards the bed, where he makes john sit. ]

[Okay. Well, this is a bed and that's fine, he hears the tip-tap-tip-tap of Mewpac's claws while she's running across the floor, but otherwise...hm.]

[Eloquence is fake. But that grin is both really cute and really...something, and he likes it and the ceiling's beautiful and he's not even going to think about how long this took him.]
