Not even really specific events, just kind of realizations that I figured out weren't flukes and went "oh, this makes a lot more sense." Generally when I cannot stop thinking about things I figure that means it's a permanent thing.

[They are, in fact, at the beach. He blinks in surprise (and adjusts to the light) as he looks out the windshield.]

[A shrug.] I like things when they're a little obvious. I'm not a huge fan of head games. [But he grins anyway.] Besides, I think I signed on to be your personal heater a while ago.

I'm not sure how a date could be a head game. But I like...made food. And I have a blanket. So we can sit wherever?

Vic and I were fucked up, I guess. [...hold on.] Did you say you made food?

I'm not like a lethal chef or anything, I'll have you know. You're just better.

Mid-beach okay? It's far enough away from the water but close enough to hear the ocean.

That works. [ he locks up the car and then snags john's hand. ]

[He immediately takes the hand and drags Dave along the beach, coming to a semi-warm, dry and sandy spot.]
