[ the only response is startled laughter as he opens the car door. dave ends up standing there with one arm on the roof of the car and the other draped on the door. ]

[He doesn't quite get in, giving Dave a look.] Too much?

I don't know. How much of that was you bein' utterly ridiculous?

[windeity]

Not too much since it's pretty much true. Why?

You've never said that before.

[windeity]

Because I thought it would be too much! [Dave looked at him and now John's just kind of flustered like an idiot. But yes. Love of his life, etc etc. He figured that out recently enough.]

[ there's zero indication of dave's opinion on his face, but he raises his eyebrows. ]

...So, a blindfold is kosher. I have ties.

[windeity]

[aaaaHHHH.]

A blindfold's totally kosher. Give me a tie, I'll blindfold myself.

[parodeity]

No way. Get in, I'm tying it for you.

[windeity]

[He rolls his eyes and gets into the car, settling in the passenger seat and patiently waiting for the blindfold.] Not too tight though, okay?

[parodeity]

[ dave slides in and shuts the door, raising his eyebrows. ] I thought you trusted me?

[ he's eyeing john again instead of doing anything though. ]

[windeity]

I do trust you. But I also do not want my glasses squished to my face. That's all.

[parodeity]

[ dave rolls his eyes and reaches out to snag john's glasses. they disappear into his sylladex and a tie emerges. it's red, obviously.

he's pretty gentle when he ties it around john's head though. ]

[windeity]

[He can deal with that. There goes his eyesight and he sees red as the tie gets wrapped around his head. He leans back into his seat then, comfortable and doing his best to pretend he's oblivious.]

It's pretty soft.

[parodeity]

[ john is presumably oblivious enough dave can kiss him by surprise. ]

[windeity]

[There's a noise that's almost like a squeak because yeah, that's a surprise, but he grins all the same.]

You know you could have just kissed me before. [He's trying to lean forward to find Dave's mouth but that's. Not really working out for him.]

[parodeity]

[ it's not especially when dave just laughs and starts the car. ] You're really kissable like that.

[windeity]

[At least he catches himself before he falls over the center console and he pouts in Dave's general direction.] You're the worst. [But he leans back into his seat again.] But I guess that means you have permission to do that again later.

To blindfold you or to kiss you?

[windeity]

...both, technically. At the same time too.

[parodeity]

I would make comments on that but it's your birthday tomorrow so I won't. [ but he's driving. ]

[windeity]

Yeah, but you also can't just leave it at that. That's a terrible thing to do on my birthday eve.

[parodeity]

So I'm supposed to take that request where, exactly? I think it's bad boyfriend form to ask when you decided that was a thing you wanted.

[windeity]

...good point, okay. Let's ignore that request until later when we're not driving to mystery location X.

[parodeity]

Now I'm thinking about it. [ he announces, wry and resigned.

but he's driving anyway. eventually he'll park. ]
